What is the Woody Open? A mixed-doubles wooden racket tournament where you’ll compete against teams of similar ability levels. It’s a relaxed, fun-filled, Retro-Tennis Tournament for today’s players. We provide the wooden rackets, so grab a partner, some polyester shorts, and sign up on Playbypoint now!
The Woody Open is for tennis players of all ability levels . . . novice to pro. We want everyone to have fun out there AND we want it to be competitive, so your team can have a max NTRP rating of 6.5. For example, If you’re a 4.0, then your partner can be a 2.5… but not a 3.0. This is the perfect opportunity to get novice players on the court. For most couples this will work perfectly, and for some tennis families… you’ll need to spread out that talent! Playing with the “Spirit of the Woody” is as, if not more, important than winning!!
When: Sunday, June 29th 2:30-8pm
Price: Doubles Team: $50 per player/$100 per team
*fees will be collected at the start of the tournament
