Are you interested in playing on a USTA tennis team at Eastmoor? USTA League is the country’s largest recreational tennis league with more than 300,000 players nationwide competing on teams while meeting new people and getting physically active.
Match play is based on the NTRP rating system so you will play with and against players of similar abilities. Whether new to the game (learn more here) or a former player, there’s a spot for you! USTA Leagues also offer you and your teammates a chance to advance from local play to USTA National League Championships.
Here is a step by step guide on how to sign up for USTA tennis through Eastmoor. STEP ONE: First, you must become a member with the USTA. If you are a returning player, make sure your registration is active for the current year. STEP TWO: Please check your USTA rating to see if it changed from the past season (if you are unrated and new to league tennis, please contact Ken Tronco, Eastmoor Tennis Pro, for help with determining your rating or finding the appropriate program for you). STEP THREE: Fill out the Eastmoor 2024 USTA Tennis Interest Form. The Eastmoor Interest Form will help us determine the interest level of the different leagues offered each season. Filling out this form does not guarantee placement on a team, you must hear confirmation from your team captain. STEP FOUR: After the captain's meeting (scheduled for February 1, 2024), you will receive further information from a team captain in re: to payment and when/how to register for your team through the USTA.
FEES
There are two fees associated with playing USTA tennis through Eastmoor. The USTA fee is assessed when you sign up for your team through USTA's website. The Eastmoor tennis league fees include balls, team coordination, general court maintenance and off-site court reservations. This fee is collected by your team captain, and you will be notified when to pay that. Eastmoor pricing for league play is set to be reasonable in comparison to similar local tennis opportunities while serving Eastmoor members in a fiscally responsible way.
