We are excited to announce our very first 2021 Eastmoor tennis social/fund raiser event on April 3rd, weather permitting. As it is still often a little cold in the mornings in April, we are going to start the event at noon. There will be two groups, each playing for two hours. The first group will be beginner-intermediate (2.5-3.0) playing 12-2pm, and the second group will advanced (3.5+) and will play 2-4pm.Food and drink will be served after your two- hour session, where we will of course adhere to Denver social distancing rules. Our wonderful tennis pro Ken Tronco will be on site to organize players on courts for the different sessions to make sure everyone has a great time.
There will be a fee of $25 dollar per player. Some of your fee will go toward lunch and tennis balls but $20 per person will be donated to the American Heart Association. Our own Eastmoor member, Ruth Rohs has been nominated as a 2021 Woman of Impact with the American Hearth Association-Denver chapter. Ruth is a cancer survivor and daughter of a mother who recently passed away from heart disease after battling it for 40 years. We are honored to support Ruth in her effort to bring awareness and raise money for research through AHA. Please come and join in the fun on this Easter weekend. We would love to see as many of you as possible out on the courts. There will be a representative from AHA on site as well to answer any questions you may have. To sign up for this event please sign up via the Kourts app by March 31.We would prefer payment ahead of time but you may pay on site also. Please use Venmo to @Pia-Lisle, check or cash. I will make one contribution on behalf of the participants to the AHA. Don’t want to play but want to support the cause? Go to Ruth’s team page - Go Red for Cissie. Please let us know which group you prefer to join, early vs late. We look forward to seeing you and hope for great weather.
